Tung-Tsai, Lai believes that art is an expression of the soul that honestly reflects life and purifies the human spirit. For the past forty years, he has built his artistic practice on the foundation of 8-calligraphy, extending it into ink painting, Western painting, and ceramic sculpture. By breaking with tradition and integrating insights drawn from everyday life, he has continued to pursue innovation and powerful artistic impact. Sharing his art through exhibitions has deepened his understanding of the value of life, inspiring him to remain grateful while steadfastly engaging in self-reflection and self-inquiry.
